Our history
From small beginnings to global leadership, MAG45’s story is one of growth and innovation. Founded in 1948 as an internal maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supply and logistics department within Philips in the Netherlands, we became an independent entity when a private equity firm acquired us in 2004. Since then, we’ve expanded rapidly – both organically and through acquisitions – developing integrated supply with an inquisitive and entrepreneurial spirit.
In 2016, MAG45 joined the Danish Solar Group, a move that provided strong financial backing and corporate support and confirmed our position as a leader in integrated supply. The following year, we partnered with the Italian company Savone, and in 2023 we celebrated our 75th anniversary.
We’re constantly investing in our people and infrastructure to stay ahead. We’re enhancing our warehousing, distribution and customer operations with automation and other advanced tools to ensure flawless execution today and in the future. In partnership with customers and third‑party vendors, we’re developing the integrated supply tools of tomorrow; web‑based, e‑commerce and mobile applications, and inventive uses of technologies like RFID. Looking ahead, developments in the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and advanced analytics will reshape our field sooner than many expect.
